Online services for hi-tech investors

Bangladesh Hi-tech Park Authority(BHTPA) has integrated nine more services including environmental clearance certificate to online platform of one-stop service (OSS) to attract more local and foreign direct investment in technology sector.

BHTPA is now providing 148 services under OSS initiative following the One Stop Service Act 2018 and OSS Guideline 2019.

BHTPA Managing Director Hosne Ara Begum inaugurated the service of OSS platform at a simple function at ICT Tower in the capital on Thursday.

Through integrating the new 9 services to the digital platform, a total of 20 services are now available at online platform of ossbhtpa.gov.bd.

There are 13,000 youths employed as 110 start-ups and other tech firms have invested Tk 3.27 billion in different hi-tech parks, according to the official.

BHTPA Managing Director Hosne Ara Begum expressed gratitude to the secretary of environment ministry and director general of environment department for introducing the new services in the OSS platform.

Government has taken projects to develop 28 hitech parks across the country to decentralize the business opportunities for knowledge economy. Of which Bangabandu Hi-Tech City, four other such parks across the country are ready to attract investment to the country.
