The Prime Minister has gone to the UN at the special invitation of world leaders: Information Minister

Awami League Joint General Secretary and Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has said that Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina has been taken to the UN by the UN and world leaders at a special invitation.

“The global role of the Prime Minister, the way she has lead Bangladesh, the way ahe has taken the country to the third highest growth rate in the world by maintaining economic growth even in Corona, all these world leaders want to hear from her,” he said.

The minister was responding to reporters’ questions regarding the BNP’s recent remarks about the Prime Minister’s participation in the UN General Assembly after his speech as the chief guest at the Enayetpur Thana Awami League’s tri-annual conference in Sirajganj from his official residence in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.

Dr. Hasan said, “They are criticizing the BNP for not tolerating the praise of world leaders for the development of the country.” Mr. Rizvi Ahmed should have known that most of the Prime Minister’s traveling companions had gone at their own expense, or he was pretending not to know.

Speaking at the conference earlier, the minister said the way one of them was speaking, the result of the BNP’s series of meetings seemed to be zero. The isolated BNP did not find any direction in the series of meetings, but they are involved in conspiracies, said Hasan Mahmud.

Enayetpur Thana Awami League President Md Bazlur Rashid presided over the conference. Awami League Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain, Health and Family Welfare Secretary Dr Rokeya Sultana, Central Committee Member Nurul Islam Thandu, Professor Marina Jahan Kabita, Abdul Awal Shamim, Sirajganj 5  constituencies Parliament  Member Alhaj Abdul Momin Mandal delivered the keynote address.

The conference was inaugurated in the morning by the acting president of the district Awami League Alhaj Ad. KM Hossain Ali Hasan and General Secretary Abdus Samad Talukder were the keynote speakers.
