President for establishing rule of law to continue dev trend

President M Abdul Hamid today said the establishment of rule of law is essential to continue the development trend of the country.

“It is mandatory to establish the rule of law to continue the ongoing development trend,” he told a view-exchange-meeting with eminent personalities, including professionals and elected representatives at the President Md Abdul Hamid Auditorium in Mithamain upazila in the district this evening.

The President put emphasis on the joint-initiative of the administration, people’s representatives and common people to establish the rule of law for the welfare of the people.

About ensuring a better life for young generation, he said everyone should stay away from the anti-development activities so that the new generation can lead a better life in days to come.

During the view-exchange-meeting, the President highlighted various development works in haor region in different fields, including communication and education.

The head of the state called upon all concerned to come forward with the attitude of service properly using the tourism potentials centering the Itna-Mithamain-Austagram highways.

“Give up the attitude of getting excessive profit with the tourism spots here,” he added.

Noticing the students’ future career, President Hamid stressed on making the students self-reliant without looking for jobs only after completion of educational life.

Local lawmaker Rezwan Ahammad Taufiq and secretaries concerned to the President were also present.
