Nitol-Tata launches the ‘Tata Intra’ for self-employment

Nitol-Niloy has launched a range of new generation  pick-up ‘Tata Intra’ through a glittering ceremony!

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi inaugurated the pick-up at Sonargaon Hotel on Sunday afternoon, presided over by Nitol-Niloy Group Chairman Abdul Matlub Ahmad.

Senior officials of Tata Group including Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram K Doraiswamy, Vice Chairman of  Nitol-Niloy Group Abdul Marib Ahmad Niloy, Managing Director Abdul Mosabbir Ahmad Nitol among others was present at the programme.

On the occasion, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi thanked the Tata Group for being by Bangladesh’s side for a long time.  “We are inspiring and providing incentives to flourish the country’s automobile sector. As a result the country is going to start assembling commercial vehicles. This is indeed good news for us.”  He said.

“Today, Bangladesh is moving from a middle-income country to a developed country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh is ahead of India-Pakistan in many indices including hunger index” he added.

He described Abdul Matlub Ahmad as a “dream man” by whom first pick-up is going to make in the country in June next year.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, Indian High Commissioner Vikram K Doraiswami on Sunday inaugurate newly-launched commercial vehicles of TATA Motors at a hotel in the capital.

Abdul Matlub Ahmad, Chairman of  Nitol-Niloy Group, said that Nitol Motors will build Tata Intra in the country next year with the aim of creating employment opportunities for a large number of youths in the country.

He said the pick-up would be made in June next year. This will be the first pick-up made in Bangladesh. This will create employment for a large number of people in the country and at the same time will be exported abroad. Young people as well as young women will be able to do business through this pick-up, he said.

Indian ambassador to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami was present as guest of honor. He said, “We are ready to take our bilateral relation to next level. And trade and business is the main key for that. Taking our geographical advantage we can be more united in the coming days.”

Abdul Mosabbir Ahmad, managing director of Nital-Niloy Group, said the pick-up is much better and different than before. The convenience of the driver has been kept in mind in making it. This pick up will be made according to the type of business. It will be able to transport much more goods than before.
