The politics of the future must be knowledge-based: Obaidul Quader

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said the politics of the future should be knowledge-based, so student politics should be established as a model of knowledge and values.

He said this while addressing a seminar on the occasion of Education Day at 23 Bangabandhu Avenue on Friday morning.

He made the call at a seminar on “Education: A Realistic Strategy to Achieve the 2041 Goals” organized by the party’s Education and Human Resource Development Committee on the occasion of Education Day.

Expressing regret that there is no program of the student organization on the Education Day, the General Secretary of the Awami League said, “Today is an essential day for the students. How many people know about the education movement of ’72?” It is not known.

He said that if this trend continues, the pomp of the student organizations will be lost.

He emphasized on scholarship rather than candidates for examinations, and education should be pursued for life not livelihood. teachers, parents, students and policy makers should come in terms with this reality first, he added.

The general secretary of the Awami League said, it is urgent at the moment to move forward with new techniques to increase the quality of education based .

Obaidul Quader said that the merit of the meritorious should be evaluated and not the lobbying of any leader.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said that many students have dropped out of school due to this extreme condition of Corona and stopped going to school. He emphasized on finding them and going to the campus again.

Obaidul Quader said, the university will open at the end of this month, you have to see how life is in the halls. Students stay in the halls, they have to stop staying in the halls in writing.

He commented that it doesn’t matter who is happy or unhappy about it.

Obaidul Quader also said that these decisions have to be taken to bring education in quality depth.
