Trains from, to Dhaka suspended
The authorities have announced suspension of passenger trains from and to Dhaka till June 30 in a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19 cases.
Bangladesh Railway Additional Director General (operations) Sardar Sahadat Ali confirmed the issue to media.
The decision comes a day after the government slapped strict lockdown in seven districts apparently to detach the capital, and a ban on long-haul buses and launches operations till June 30 as part of emergency measures.
