Momen for harnessing youth power

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen underlined the need for utilizing the youth power to make the member countries of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) self-reliant as the youths, consisting of sixty percent of the Muslim world.

“Bangladesh, since it’s joining the OIC under the visionary leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and especially, under the Government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has always had great hopes about a self-reliant OIC,” he said.

Dr Momen added that this dream can be realized by harnessing the power of youths of the Muslim world.

The foreign minister was speaking virtually at the national closing ceremony of Sheikh Hasina Youth Volunteer Award 2020 on Saturday organised by the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) as part of the celebration of Dhaka as the “OIC Youth Capital 2020”.
