The Body Of The Pilot Nowshad Has Arrived In The Country
The body of Biman Bangladesh Airlines pilot Captain Nowshad Ataul Qayyum has reached the country.
His body was brought home on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight around 9am on Thursday (September 2).
On Friday (August 27) morning, Captain Nowshad fell ill while in the Indian skies on his way to Dhaka on a BG-022 flight with 124 passengers from Muscat, Oman.
After the flight to Nagpur, Maharashtra. An emergency landing was made at Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport.
Soon after the emergency landing, pilot Nowshad was taken to the local Hope Hospital.
From there he was later shifted to Kingsway Hospital in Nagpur.
Doctors on duty at the hospital declared him dead last Sunday (August 30).
State Minister for Civil Aviation M Mahbub Ali, top officials of the ministry, Biman and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, leaders of Bangladesh Airlines’ Pilot Association, among others, were present at the airport to show their last respect to the well-reputed pilot of the national airliner, sources at Biman said.
