The background of 90 and 2021 is not the same: Quader

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said, ‘The background of ’90 is not the same as the background of 2021. So the daydream of the fall of the government through mass uprising will turn into a colorful loss for the BNP.

He said this while addressing a briefing at his residence in the capital on Tuesday morning.

In response to BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s statement, the Awami League general secretary said, “Who is he to give the government time?”

He said the government has been given time by the constitution of the country and the people of this country, and the owner of power is Allah Almighty and the voters of the country.

Regarding the BNP’s program at the National Press Club, Obaidul Quader said, “Journalists, cultural, social and various organizations usually hold meetings at the National Press Club, but the BNP has turned the Press Club into a political platform.”

He added that the BNP is now holding political rallies inside the press club, which is illegal and unacceptable.

The general secretary of the Awami League said that the names of party candidates are being sent from different districts in the UP elections but in some cases the names are being sent to the center by concealing information and various irregularities and frauds. Those involved in such irregularities are being investigated and if the allegations are proved to be true, immediate disciplinary action will be taken.

Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said that the suffering of those who have been waiting for driving licenses for almost two years is coming to an end.
