Shakib Inaugurates Showroom at Dhaka with two-hour leave

After the completion of the ODI series against Afghanistan, the Bangladesh cricket team has returned to Dhaka on Tuesday (March 01) ahead of the two-match T20I series starting on 3 March.

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, after returning from Chattogram, left the team hotel to inaugurate a showroom.

He opened a flagship center of Yahamaha at Tejgaon in the capital after he took a two-hour beak from team management. He has been associated with the company for several years as the brand ambassador.

Team management also confirmed the matter to The Asian Tribune that Shakib left the hotel with a break for two hours. According to the rules, if any player needs, he can go out with a leave. Antigen test has to be done before checking in the hotel. After confirming the negative report, Shakib entered again.

Shakib traveled with the team from Chittagong. He has kept his family with him. After touching down in Dhaka, he reached the hotel by his own car. Then he went out for personal work after ensuring check-in.

One-day cricketers became separated from the airport. Tamim, Ibadat, Shanto have returned to their respective homes. The rest of the players reached the Team Hotel. The team has no official activities today.

Mentionable, during BPL, Fortune Barishal skipper Shakib was found in doing shooting for advertisement without attending the official photo sessions of the team. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) issued a show cause notice to the team as Shakib escaped the photo sessions and broke the bio-bubble. The runners up team expressed sorrows for Shakib’s activities the following day.

However, there is no bio-bubble in the series this time. But Managed Event Environment (MEE) is being maintained that was used during Olympics. There is clearly stated that if any cricketer or official leaves the hotel for personal reasons due to special needs, he must re-enter the hotel with a Covid Negative Certificate.
