Train ran in the opposite direction to save the life of woman and girl

There is no religion bigger than humanity and Indian Railways setting the example of humanity, ran in the opposite direction for three kilometers to save the life of a woman  who was suffering from labor pain.

A woman gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday morning in the S-5 coach of Anand Vihar to Bhubaneswar Sampark Kranti train. Female passenger Ranu Das (27 years) was going to Jaleshwar in Odisha. The Sampark Kranti train, which had left Tatanagar due to the birth of the girl child, had to be brought back to Tatanagar. Whereas the condition of the child and mother is fine. Both have been admitted to Sadar Hospital in Khasmahal for better treatment.

According to the information received, Ranu Das, a female passenger going to Jaleshwar, Odisha, in the S-5 coach of Anand Vihar to Bhubaneshwar Sampark Kranti train, started having labor pains as soon as the train opened from Tatanagar station. By then the train had left Tatanagar. On seeing the labor pain of the woman, there was panic among the other passengers including the family members of the woman. This information was given to the TT present in the train.

TT informed this to the train duty guard. As the train was just open from Tatanagar, the guard called and informed the control form. After this, the train was brought back to platform number five after the orders of the top officials of Chakradharpur division. The train had crossed the signal after about two and a half kilometers from the platform.

The doctors of Tatanagar Railway Hospital were already present on the platform when the Sampark Kranti train came back. The woman and her child were safely removed from the train by the medical team at Tatanagar station. Some tests were done for both of them here and then they were sent to Sadar Hospital located in Khasmahal.

After this the train left back for Bhubaneswar. The passengers on the train appreciated the sensitivity of the railway officers and this decision.
