Bangladesh Bank fire put out

The fire that started at the 30-story Bangladesh Bank building in Dhaka’s Motijheel Monday evening was put out.

The blaze was reported at 6:25pm on Monday on the third floor of the central bank.

 Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, said four firefighting units worked there to ut out the flame.

The fire originated from electric short circuit at the central storeroom of the bank.

No casualties were reported and the extent of damage could not be confirmed immediately.
