Mymensigh train mishap: Death toll rises to four
The death toll from the accident where a train hit a sand-laden truck in Mymensingh has risen to four after recovering the body of another person.
Earlier, three people were killed after the accident took place in Sadar upazila’s Char Raghurampur area at around 1:30 pm, Monday.
The accident resulted in the suspension of the train communication on the Mymensingh-Jharia route.
It is learned that some passengers were sitting in front of the engine of the train. Of them, three died on the spot and several were injured. They were admitted to Mymensigh Medical College Hospital.
Mymensingh Kotwali Police Station OC Anwar Hossain said police members are trying to recover the bodies.
