Hridoy Mondal acquitted of charges of hurting religious sentiments

Hridoy Mondal, a mathematics teacher of Binodonpur Ram Kumar High School in Munshiganj, has been acquitted by the court from the case filed for alegedly defaming religion..

Judge Jashita Islam of Munshiganj Court-1 passed the order around 11am on Wednesday and signed a written order , said Munshiganj Court Police GRO Jasimuddin.

Earlier, on 20 March, during a science class in 10th grade, a student recorded a discussion about science and religion which was later interpreted as a defamation of religion.

Hridoy secured bail upon a bond of Tk 5,000 on April 10 .
