Three Bangladeshis, including the owner of Premium Sweets Moniruzzaman Bijoy, have died in a road accident in Canada.

The accident took place on Thursday when their vehicle veered off Highway 401 near Cornwall in Ontario, reports Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

The single-vehicle crash happened just before 4:30pm (local time) on the highway’s westbound lanes between the Boundary Road and McConnell Avenue exits, it said citing Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

According to the initial investigation, the vehicle left the highway, hit the ditch and caught fire, OPP said in a news release.

Two other victims were Moniruzzaman’s mother-in-law, and one Liyakat Hossain, according to local media.
