No one will get spared in Comilla incident: Quader

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has warned that those involved in the Comilla incident will be brought under the law and no one will get exemption. The Comilla incident is the work of communal evil forces. Those who attack Hindu temples will not be spared even if they belong to a party. With the forthcoming national elections looming, a united resistance must be built against those who want to destroy the communal harmony of this country.

He issued the warning on Wednesday (October 13) evening at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) premises in the capital during the exchange of greetings for the Mahasthami of Durga Puja.

Obaidul Quader said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set a unique example of communal harmony. Durga Puja has become a festival all over the country. The festival is being celebrated in about 30 to 35 thousand puja mandaps across the country, and this has caused a heartburn among the evil forces that want to destroy the atmosphere of communal harmony.

Calling on all to remain united, the Awami League general secretary said, “We have to be careful so that no miscreant can create chaos or attack the temple.”
