BNP is like amoebas: Information and Broadcasting Minister
Information and Broadcasting Minister of Bangladesh Dr Hasan Mahmud today 6th July said that there are many similarities between BNP and amoeba. While responding to the questions regarding BNP’s one-point movement to the journalists at the secretariat, he said, “An experiment can be done on how many parties are actually in the BNP-led alliance. A Master’s thesis can at least be done focusing on how many parties are in the BNP alliance.”
The Minister said that BNP is like amoebas. The amoeba sometimes divides itself, and sometimes they grow. So, there are a lot of similarities between BNP and amoeba.
Meanwhile, he condemned the recent Israeli attack on West Bank’s Jenin refugee camp. Regarding Israeli air strike in Palestine, he said, “We strongly condemn the way the Israeli military is carrying out air strikes on Palestinian civilians, resulting in loss of lives and displacement of people.”
He added that Human rights organisations around the world make statements all the times, or in many cases they even sell statements, but in this case they are silent. I can’t find any statement from countries that sometimes sermonise other countries on human rights. The silence of those who talk about human rights in the world is even more regrettable.
