Forex reserve hit record $42 bn

The country’s foreign exchange reserves  touched a new record of over 42 billion US amid coronavirus crisis.

The inflow of remittance added to raise the foreign exchange reserve to over 42 billion, a senior official of the Bangladesh Bank told state-run news agency on Tuesday,

Earlier, the previous highest reserves amounting 41.02 billion US dollar were recorded on October 29 this year. The official said remittance is the key driver to raise the reserve to the highest point.
