MP Masuda Rashid has died

Jatiya Party Presidium Member and MP for the reserved women’s seat in Parliament Professor Masuda M Rashid Chowdhury is no more (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilahi Raziun).

She died at her home in the capital’s Maghbazar on Monday morning. She was 80 years old.

Masuda Rashid had been suffering from various diseases for a long time and was undergoing treatment at home and abroad. Shee is survived by a number of relatives and admirers, including a son.

Jatiya Party office secretary MA Razzak Khan said Masuda Rashid’s janaza would be held at the party’s central office in Kakrail after Asr.

Jatiya Party Chairman and Deputy Leader of the Opposition Golam Mohammad Quader and former state minister, Jatiya Party co-chairman and Jatiya Mahila Party president Advocate Salma Islam MP have expressed their condolences over the death of Masuda Rashid.

In his condolence message, GM Quader said, “Professor Masuda Rashid was a good human being.” She was a very honest, idealistic, humble, good-natured leader. For a long time she has contributed to strong leadership in various positions of the Jatiya Party. Her death caused irreparable damage to the National Party; Which is not to be met suddenly.
