United States wants to see a free, fair, violence-free election
Home Minister tells the journalists
The Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said to the journalists on Thursday July 13 that the delegation of the United States / US wants to see a free, fair and violence-free election in Bangladesh.
The Minister said, “We told the US delegation that law enforcement is ready and will work with the Election Commission during the election. The delegation also reiterated that they do not come here to support any political party; but they want to see a free, fair, and violence-free election in Bangaldesh.” The US delegation led by Under Secretary Uzra Zeya held a meeting with him at his office.
The delegation includes US Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu.
