Noted actor Enamul Haque is no more

Actor, director, playwrighter Enamul Haque is no more. He died at his Bailey Road home at 4pm today (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Raziun). Son-in-law actor Litu Anam confirmed the news of his death .Enamul Haque is survived by his wife and two daughters. He was 78 years old.

Litu Anam said his father-in-law did not have any illness. He died while sitting in a chair at home. No decision has been made yet about the burial.

Enamul Haque’s whole family is involved in the drama. His wife Lucky Inam is a member of drama. They have two daughters Hridi Haque and Preeti Haque. Two sons-in-law actor Litu Anam and Saju Khadem.

Noted actor Enamul Haque dies

Enamul Haque was born on May 29 in 1943 in Feni. He completed his Bachelor and Masters in chemistry in 1963 and 1964 respectively from the University of Dhaka.

He joined the department of chemistry of BUET in 1965 as a lecturer. He earned his Ph.D. degree from the University of Manchester in 1976 in the field of synthetic organic chemistry.

Haque debuted in acting with the tele-fiction “Mukhora Romoni Boshikoron”, produced by Mustafa Monwar in 1968.

His most famous works include “Sheishob Dingulo”, “Oneekdiner Ekdin”, “Nirjon Shoikot”, and “Ke Ba Apon Ke Ba Por”.

He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2012.
