Cristiano Ronaldo set to become a twin dad again

Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, is pregnant and expecting twins.

Taking to Instagram to share their joyous news, the Portuguese football star shared a heartwarming photo of him and Georgina holding their twins’ scans. “Delighted to announce we are expecting twins. Our hearts are full of love – we can’t wait to meet you #blessed,” penned the star.

The birth of the twins will see Ronaldo become the father of six children.

Rodriguez already shares daughter Alana, who is three, with the 36-year-old, and Ronaldo has a son named Cristiano Jnr, 11, and twins Eva and Mateo, both four.

Minutes after the social media announcement, his mother, Dolores Aveiro, wrote on his Instagram: “Let my grandchildren be born healthy. That’s what matters the most.”

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner met Rodriguez while she was working as a sales assistant in a Gucci store.

Rodriguez hails from the tiny Spanish village of Jaca, with her Argentine ex-footballer father, Jorge, and Spanish mother, Ana.

She spent time in England before meeting the Old Trafford icon and learned English, spending time in places such as Bristol and Bath before returning to Spain and working in high-end retail.

Ronaldo told ITV in 2019: “She helped me so much. Of course, I’m in love with her.”

He added that it would be his mother’s dream to see the pair walk down the aisle, something the former Real Madrid and Juventus star is more than open to.

“We’ll be [married] one day, for sure,” Ronaldo went on to say.

“It’s my mum’s dream as well. So, one day. Why not? It’s great. She’s my friend.

“We have conversations. I open the heart for her and she opens the heart for me.”

Unfortunately for CR7 right now, things are going less swimmingly on the pitch, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under increased scrutiny following the Red Devils’ 5-0 thrashing at home to Liverpool on Sunday.

Fans rushed to the comments to share their support for the couple, leaving a flurry of heart-eye emojis and words of congratulations. “SO happy for you!” wrote one fan, while another sweetly commented: “Ronaldo is making a football team of his own.”
