The government’s ‘heartbeat’ has started: Fakhrul

The party’s secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the government’s ‘heartbeat’ has started in the tide of public support for the BNP.

He made the remarks at a function organized by Dhaka south city BNP at the National Press Club auditorium on Wednesday.

Asked about the government, Mirza Fakhrul said, “Police are still going from house to house, harassing and searching. Why? What is the reason? Because BNP is waking up.

“Today, the BNP is being reorganized and a committee is being formed under the supervision of our acting chairman Tarique Rahman. This has created a new tide, a new life has been created. ”

Fakhrul claimed that the government was “scared” by the BNP’s “wake up”. They are scared, trembling. That is why they are attacking the BNP.

“I want to make it clear that no dictatorship, no fascist ruler or no oppressive ruler has ever survived in the world. They had to accept defeat in the fury of the people. ”

Addressing the ruling party, the BNP secretary general said, “There is still time. read the writings on the walls, look at the language of people’s eyes, try to understand people’s minds.” There is still time, resign for your failure.

“Resign immediately if you want to be saved from the crime you have committed, violating the constitution, depriving the people of their right to vote, stealing votes the night before.”

“Otherwise you will not find a way to escape,” he said, urging the people to hold elections under a “neutral” government in the future.

Addressing the BNP leaders and workers, Fakhrul said, “One thing is for sure, now is the time to stand up. Now is the time to make it clear to this government that we do not want you. ”

Answering the question of Awami League general secretary refarding who is the BNP leader for  next election, the BNP secretary general said, “Mr. Obaidul Quader is talking about the leader. Mind it, there is only one leader in our Bangladesh – Begum Khaleda Zia.”She is the only leader who defeated the long nine-year dictatorship in this country and established a people’s government in the country. She is still fighting for democracy even under house arrest ”.

The BNP secretary general said, “You have seen for yourself what coroner’s test, corona vaccine collection, distribution, in every case they have done.

“There is a health minister whose every word is false and deceptive to the people. Today they have completely failed to control corona infection. Not just Corona, they have broken the whole health system today. ”

Fakhrul said, “If someone suddenly falls ill or needs to go to the hospital on an emergency basis, there will be no treatment.” Extreme anarchy, corruption and anarchy are prevailing in all sectors in Bangladesh, not just the health department. Because those who are running the country now, they were not elected by the people to run the country. As a result, there is no accountability. ”He blamed the government’s “failure” for the daily deaths and dengue outbreaks in Dhaka.

The event was organized on the occasion of inauguration of Covid and Dengue Help Center program initiated by Dhaka south city BNP. The BNP secretary general inaugurated the program.

Criticizing the government, Mirza Fakhrul said:”Here, in order to introduce a one-party system of government, they have very cleverly, cleverly cut the constitution in the first priority.

“Later, all the judiciary, administration, law and order forces were brought under control and factionalized. They are trying to control the media that we have today, ”

Fakhrul said, “What we see in the whole country today, they have come up with the old slogan – one leader, one country.”

Mirza Abbas, a member of the BNP’s standing committee, said, “During the BNP rule, a slogan was raised, ‘We need a caretaker government right now’.” Jamaat-e-Islam demanded, Awami League supported.

“Jamaat-Awami League made a joint demand and Begum Khaleda Zia accepted it. Today we are demanding a caretaker government at this moment. There will be no election in Bangladesh without a caretaker government.

Abdus Salam, president of Dhaka south city  BNP and a member of the BNP chairperson’s advisory council, said, “For the sake of the metropolitan police commissioner, I would say, allow us to hold meetings, rallies and human chains in open spaces.”

“It simply came to our notice then. The Awami League will hold a meeting in front of his office, let them do it. We have to pay too. Otherwise, people will be forced to take to the streets. ”

The meeting was chaired by Mosharraf Hossain Khokon, convener of the Covid Help Center Management Committee of Dhaka south city, and Rafiqul Alam Majnoor, general secretary of Dhaka south city, Rafiqul Islam, Krishak Dal president Hasan Jafir Tuhin and Dhaka south city vice president Nabi Ullah Nabi also spoke.
