Jubo League distributes iftar, Eid gifts among 4.66 lakh people during Ramadan
Jubo League, an associate body of the ruling Awami League (AL), distributed iftar items and Eid gifts among the 4.66 lakh distressed people across the country till 20 Ramadan.
The package of gift items included saree, lungi, rice, lentil, potato, onion, one liter soybean, salt, two types of semai, milk and sugar.
The youth wing of the ruling party took the initiative at the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and call of its Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash.
Earlier, the organisation has also stand by some 86 lakh people during the Covid-19 pandemic giving food assistances, medical assistances for the affected people, burial of deceased people, free telemedicine, oxygen and ambulance services support.
Even the leaders and activists have joined their hand in harvesting paddy during the pandemic situation.
According to the Jubo League data, 10,000 people received assistances from its central committee, 15,000 from Dhaka Metropolitan North, 12,000 from Dhaka Metropolitan South, 3,000 from Rangpur district, 4,000 from Rangpur Metropolitan, 6,000 from Gaibandha, 6,000 from Kurigram, 7,000 from Thakurgaon, 3,000 from Lalmonirhat, 2,000 from Nilphamari, 2,500 from Panchagarh, 7,000 from Dinajpur, 3,500 from Rajshahi, 2,500 from Rajshahi Metropolitan, 20,000 from Pabna, 2,000 from Sirajganj, 2,000 from Natore, 17,000 from Bogura, 3,000 from Joypurhat, 5,000 fromNaogaon, 3,500 from Chapainawabganj, 5,000 from Khulna, 9,000 from Khulna Metropolitan,12,000 from Jashore, 6,000 from Jhenaidah, 2,500 from Meherpur, 6,000 from Kushtia,
