Woman who assaulted teen in Narsingdi rail station arrested

A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested the woman who assaulted a teen girl at Narsingdi railway station.

She was arrested from one of her relative’s residence at Itakhola area in Shibpur upazila at around 3 am last night.

Confirming the matter Rab-11 company commander Flight Lieutenant Touhidul Mobin Khan said, the woman on 18 May assaulted a university student over her (victim) outfit at Narsingdi railway station 1 and took photo on her (arrestee) mobile. The Rab will officially disclose the matter at a press briefing in Dhaka on Monday, he said.

The arrestee is identified as Marzia Aktar alias Shila alias Sayma (60), wife of Foyez Ahmed at Upazila More area in Narsingdi. She works as a matchmaker. She has been charged in the assault case after she was identified observing CCTV footage.
