2 injured in Jatrabari Jubo League meeting blast
At least two Jubo League activists sustained injuries after some crude bombs went off at a meeting of the organisation at Jatrabari in Dhaka on Friday night.
Of the injured, one Shamim Ahmed, 40, was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with minor injuries.
The incident took place at Shaheed Faruk Road at around 8:30pm, said Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Jatrabari Police Station.
“During the Jubo League meeting, a procession of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal was going through the place,” he said, assuming that the bombs might be thrown from the procession.
Meanwhile, three persons were detained in this connection.
