President asks public representatives to work more sincerely

President M Abdul Hamid  called upon the public representatives to work more sincerely for the welfare of the country and its people on Saturday.

“Work more sincerely for the welfare of the country and its people,” he told a view-exchange meeting with cross-section of people, including people’s representatives and professionals, at the ‘President Md Abdul Hamid Auditorium’ at Austagram on Saturday evening.

The President added: “In fear of losing popularity if evil thing is not checked it does not increase the popularity, rather it decrease the popularity.”

The head of state also urged all entrepreneurs and investors to increase investment locally to harness local potentials.

President Hamid called for implementation of all development projects as well as their maintenance with proper usages as well.

Emphasizing on the need to maintain the natural beauty of the haor areas, Abdul Hamid said everyone should remain vigilant so that tourists do not litter anywhere.

Earlier, President Hamid visited the work progress of the under-construction ‘Rastropoti Abdul Hamid Foundation” at Mithamain here.

He was accompanied by his son Rejwan Ahmmad Taufiq, MP, secretaries concerned of Bangabhaban, senior officials and local administration officials.

The President arrived here yesterday on a seven-day visit to oversee some ongoing development projects in his district and exchange views with local representatives.

The President is expected to return to Dhaka on November 18.
