As many as 80 passengers could not catch the flight due to delay in Corona test

It is taking time to test the corona at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. Arriving at the airport, UAE travelers have to stand in line at different places at least 10 times. Many people are not able to catch the flight by checking the corona as more time has passed through all these.

Employees of the Expatriate Welfare Desk and Health Department are struggling to cope with the pressure of passengers at night as the flight is at the same time. For this reason, the concerned people are talking about arriving at the airport at least 6-7 hours before the flight.

According to airport authorities, Etihad Airways had a flight to the United Arab Emirates on Monday night. At least 80 passengers were unable to catch the flight as they arrived at the airport six hours before the flight to check the corona and the results were delayed. They could not reach the boarding counter on time as the corona test results were delayed at the airport. It was not possible to catch the flight as the counter was closed earlier.

Confirming the information, Group Captain Touhid-ul Ahsan, executive director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, told that many people could not catch the flight due to delays in getting results from corona tests at the airport. The test results of Corona should give in time. If it is so late like this , it will be problem. He said the health department should give the results of the corona test more quickly. For passengers in the UAE, it is important to see the results of the Corona test in less time.

According to the airport authorities, arrangements have been made to send the passengers to the emirate who could not catch the flight. Etihad Airways has been in talks with the authorities. Those 80 passengers will be taken on the next flight of Etihad.

Regarding what the passengers should do, the executive director of the airport said that the passengers should arrive at the airport at the right time. Arriving at the airport at least six to eight hours before the scheduled flight schedule will not cause such problems.

Officials at the airlines flying to the UAE said the boarding counter was closed at least an hour before the departure of the flight. But the passengers are coming after the boarding counter is closed as they have not reported the corona test during that time, when they no longer have the opportunity to take the flight.

However, if there were one or two passengers, there was an attempt to take them even if the flight was delayed. But if the number of passengers is too much then it is not possible to take them.

On condition of anonymity, a senior official of an Emirates-bound airline said there was no proper management of the Corona test. Passengers are not being reported considering flight times. After giving the report, the passengers are being lined up for online verification. Unnecessary time is being wasted through this.

According to airport authorities, 3,249 UAE-bound corona were tested at the airport in six days from September 29 to October 4. Passengers are tested within six hours of the journey. In the last six days, only one test result has come positive.
