Afghanistan to arrive in Bangladesh today for white ball series

The Afghanistan cricket team is set to arrive in Bangladesh today (Saturday) for a limited over series, comprising three ODIs and two T20 Internationals.

The ODIs, which are part of the ICC World Cup Super League, will take place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram while the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka will host the two T20 matches.

The ODIs are slated to be held on February 23, 25 and 28 while two T20 matches are scheduled on March 3 and 5.

After landing in Bangladesh, the Afghans will head to Sylhet straightway where they will have a week-long training camp before moving to Chattogram for the ODI series.

At this moment, some of the Afghan players like Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mohammad Shahzad, Qais Ahmed, Azmaitullah Omarzai and others are playing in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for different teams.

After this series, Bangladesh will leave the country for South Africa for a bilateral series.
