10-man Bangladesh Stops India

The Bangladesh football team has put up a great fight against the record seven-time champion strong India in the SAF Championship.

10-man Bangladesh has stopped India to a 1-1 draw in SAFF Championship 2021 match in Male, Maldives.

The match kicks off at 5pm Bangladesh time on Monday (October 4th) at the National Stadium in Male , the capital of the Maldives.

India started the game in a good note and also scored but they struggled in the second half though they had numerical advantage.

Sunil Chhetri scored for India in 26th minute utilizing a pass from Udanta before going for a break.

After resumption, Bangladesh was reduced to 10 man in 54th minute when Bishwanath Ghosh fouled on Liston.

After that team Bangladesh continued to fight with less than one member. In the 74th minute of the match, Bangladesh equalized (1-1) with the goal of Yassin Arafat. After that both teams played desperately for the goal but did not get success. That is why the match was decided in a 1-1 draw.

Though India were leading the attack in ball possession, Bangladesh did not allow them to leave the field with full three points. Realized one important point. Bangladesh also competed well in the match. This is like a new Bangladesh under Oscar Brujan.

Bangladesh have four points from two matches while India have a point from their first match.
