It has been announced that all types of public transport and goods transport will be closed indefinitely from 6 am tomorrow, Friday (November 5). The decision was taken by the Goods Transport and Public Transport Owners Association in protest of the increase in diesel prices.

Hossain Md Majumder, general secretary of the Bangladesh Truck-Covered Van Owners Association, confirmed the matter on Thursday (November 4th). He said, “It is not possible to run our transport at the rate at which the price of diesel has been increased. There is no rationale for such a price increase in a hurry. ‘

According to a source in the Transport Owners Association, the movement of goods has been stopped in many places outside Dhaka. The transport strike is going to take effect today with an official announcement.
