There is no alternative of People’s leader Sheikh Hasina to reach country’s dream address – Information Minister

People’s leader Sheikh Hasina has no alternative to reach  country’s dream address, said Information Minister and Awami League Joint General Secretary Dr. Hasan Mahmud.

He was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting on ‘Leader of Development Sheikh Hasina’ organized by Progressive Journalists Forum at the National Press Club in the capital on Tuesday afternoon on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 75th birthday.

The Information Minister said, ‘Today is the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Daughter of Bangabandhu  Sheikh Hasina. The Prime Minister herself does not celebrate her birthday. We celebrate her birthday. On this day, I pray to the great Creator that she may live on this earth on her 100th birthday and that the people of the country may celebrate her 100th birthday with her. ‘

Today, Bangladesh is moving forward on the way of fulfilling Bangabandhu’s dream under the leadership of her worthy daughter peoples leader Sheikh Hasina. The dream of our predecessors who poured fresh blood on their chests and created this Bangladesh under the leadership of Bangabandhu, gave birth to Bangladesh on the world map, gave birth to the green flag emblazoned with red sun, is needed to realize the dream of the people’s leader Sheikh Hasina ‘, said Dr. Hasan Mahmud.

Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, “Due to the struggle, patience and extraordinary qualities of the people’s leader Sheikh Hasina, due to her extraordinary ability to make decisions slowly despite all adversities, there is no alternative to the people’s leader Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh today. Sheikh Hasina herself is an alternative to the people’s leader Sheikh Hasina in the country.

Today, Bangladesh has changed under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter, from a low-income to a middle-income country, from a food shortage to a food surplus country, the minister said.

He said poverty in the country has halved from 40 per cent to less than 20 per cent in the last 12 and a half years. Today, Bangladesh is a mortal state in front of the world.During the covid period, many people said that there were many fears that human corpses would be lying on the streets in the country and thousands of people would die due to starvation. The Information Minister said, ‘The intellectuals who have said all these things,   many of them do not give two rupees to the poor people.

Many international personalities who have received big awards have not been seen or found during this covid situation. Many NGOs have not been able to find them during this time.

However, since Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been by the side of the people, not a single person in Bangladesh has died of starvation during this coronal period.

Awami League joint general secretary Hasan Mahmud said, ‘Bangabandhu wanted to transform Bangladesh into a developed and prosperous state but it was not possible as he did not have time. If Bangabandhu had survived, Bangladesh would have been transformed into a developed and prosperous country within 10 to 15 years of independence.

Minister Hasan said that in this covid situation, the people’s leader Sheikh Hasina has announced that she will make house for  the homeless and the government has planned to give  house to 3 lakh families by December this year. About one and a half lakh people have already been given houses. So even in this corona the country is moving forward today.
