Voting underway in 57 districts

Voting for district council elections began today at 9 am and will last until 2 pm nationwide in 57 districts.

60,866 voters will cast their votes at 925 booths located in 462 centers across the country.

The District Council elections are being held for the second time. On December 28, 2016, the first-ever District Council Polls took place.

Just as they did during the most recent by-polls to the Gaibhanda-5 constituency, the Election Commission (EC) is prepared to monitor the elections across the country using CCTV cameras at the EC headquarters.
