The BNP called a press conference and made as many allegations against the government

The BNP has come to the press conference in the face of such allegations by the ruling Awami League that BNP is conspiring against the country and the government by appointing lobbyists abroad and sending letters.

At the press conference, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir claimed that the government was trying to impose the issue of hiring an expatriate Bangladeshi on our party. We would like to say that if the expatriates take any action against the violation of democracy and human rights of the country, if they do something for the love of the country, then it is their responsibility, not the BNP’s.

The BNP does not bear any responsibility other than the moral support of the move. However, the BNP applauds such patriotic steps for the protection of democracy and human rights of expatriates in countries around the world. Expresses solidarity with them.

Presenting some of his letters written abroad in defense of human rights, the BNP secretary general said, “Some government ministers are talking about false allegations against me.” My letter has been lied to. See who wrote the letter and what the content was. The BNP is the most reliable haven for victims of human rights abuses, the biggest vanguard of the movement for the restoration of human rights and democracy. And so the BNP wants the support of the country’s development partners as part of its movement struggle. Wants to stop human rights violations. It wants to keep all domestic and foreign partners in the struggle for restoration of democracy aware of all the misdeeds of this government. My letters written abroad are not a matter of hiring a lobbyist, they are just a call to international development partners to protect human rights!

Mirza Fakhrul alleged that the Awami League had hired lobbyists against the BNP government at a cost of 9 million in the three years from 2005 to 2007 in connection with Sajib Wazed Joy. Evidence of which is available on the official web pages of the United States. The BNP wants to know the source of the money of Sajib Wazed Joy, how the money went to America from Bangladesh – Fakhrul also demanded to know this information.

The BNP secretary general said that the authoritarian illegal government has appointed the people with the tax money by covering up the measures taken by the US government, which was acknowledged through the statement of the foreign minister. “They have hired lobbyists to restore the image of the government,” he said. But how does the state or government spend the money of the people involved in crimes like murder, disappearance or the responsibility of the organization immersed in the arbitrariness of the people in the name of protecting the image of the people with money? The BNP thinks that by hiring lobbyists with people’s money, the government has established its involvement in serious crimes like human rights violations.

He said, “The BNP thinks that if the government was not involved, they would have brought seven officials under the law to bring them to justice.” The government would have resigned by filing cases of murder, disappearance and disappearance, handing over power to a non-party government and walking on the path of establishing democracy.

The BNP secretary general said, “Bangladesh has become known to the whole world as a country without democracy, without human rights and without justice. The electoral system has been inserted in the ICU in the tenth parliamentary elections of 2014. Then it can be said with certainty that by voting day and night in the Eleventh Parliamentary Election of 2018, this monster authoritarian government, intoxicated with blood holi game, has created a grave for the electoral system of Bangladesh. The use of government forces to deprive people of their right to vote, extrajudicial killings, disappearances, cases of political absconding and other crimes against humanity are well known. As a result, if someone’s visa is revoked and a ban is imposed for their misdeeds, it is a shameful chapter for the whole nation. ‘

He said, “However, this shameless government has not considered it as a national crisis but has resorted to malpractice to cover up their misdeeds like Behair and to save the direct criminals.” If it was a civilized democracy, the government would be the first to take legal action against those officials. He would arrest and apologize to the nation for overcoming the stigma and would try to overcome this situation with the help of everyone as a national crisis. But the authoritarian government is walking in the opposite direction. Police are sending threats to the families of the disappeared. Every effort is being made to protect the killers. Which proves that the top officials of the government are involved in all these murders. So the BNP wants the government to resign immediately. It wants to ensure human rights by taking legal action after an impartial investigation of all those involved in the killings and disappearances. BNP Wants justice, wants democracy.
