Asia Cup AFG vs BAN : Bangladesh set target of 128 runs

Bangladesh, thanks to Mosaddek Hossain Saikat’s 48 runs, set a 128-run target for Afghanistan in the 3rd match of the Asia Cup 2022 at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah on Tuesday (August 30).

Tigers scored 127 runs by losing seven wickets in 20 overs.

Mosaddek made an unbeaten 48 off 31 balls after Mujeeb ur Rahman and Rashid Khan claimed three wickets each to put Bangladesh in all sorts of trouble.

Opener Mohammad Naim and Anamul Haque fall early in the powerplay. Bangladesh scored 28 runs by losing three wickets in the powerplay.

Skipper Shakib Al Hasan, playing his 100th T20I, struck two boundaries but missed a straight ball from Mujeeb to depart for 11 off nine balls.

Mushfiqur Rahim scored just one run from 4 balls and Afif Hossain hit 12 runs off 15 balls.

For Afghanistan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan shared three wickets each.
