Comilla University authorities close dorms, postpone exams

The authorities of Comilla University have  announced the closure of all halls of the university and also postponed all kinds of examination from October 10 to 17.

The announcement came on Sunday a day after the dissolution of the Chhatra League committee (university unit).

According to the students, a tense situation was prevailing on the campus following the dissolution of the BCL committee.

A press release signed by Amirul Haque Chowdhury, registrar (acting) of the university, said all halls of the university will remain closed until further notice and students have been asked to leave the halls by 6pm on Sunday.

The female students have been instructed to leave their halls by 9am on Monday.

All types of transport, except the university’s own transport and the vehicles for carrying the university’s teachers, officers and employees, will not be allowed to enter the university campus, the release read.
