170 BNP activists sued for vandalism at Khulna

Around 170 BNP leaders and activists have been sued in connection with vandalism at the railway station in Khulna.

A case was filed at Khulna Railway Police Station against those leaders and activists for vandalism at the railway station during the party’s Khulna divisional rally.

According to Md Khabir Ahmed, the officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station, station master Manik Chandra Sarkar filed a FIR at Khulna Railway Police Station on Saturday night.

In an encounter with the police on Saturday at noon, BNP activists said they were being blocked from joining the party’s divisional rally.

BNP activists threw brick chips and vandalized more doors and windows of the station, when police came to the spot after being informed Kabir Ahmed added.

Sonali Sen, additional Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan police said police didn’t obstruct anyone and tried to handle the situation.
