President Mohammed Shahabuddin urges all to work together to build ‘Smart Bangladesh’

President of Bangladesh Mohammed Shahabuddin urged all the higher educational institutions to work together to build a developed and enlightened ‘Smart Bangladesh’.

On the occasion of 24th Convocation of North South University (NSU), President, also he is the chancellor of all the public and private universities mentioned in a message that the government of Bangladesh under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is committed to ensure quality education for overall development of the country. He also conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the graduating students of NSU, their parents, faculty members and university authority on the occasion of the convocation.

He added that education is the most important key to development and prosperity of a nation. So realizing the importance of education, the government gives top priority to expand higher education. To materialize the ‘Vision-2041’ declared by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the government needs wholehearted support and contribution from all walks of lives. The universities and all the educational institutions have several important responsibilities to impart state of the art and quality education to prepare future leaders of the country imbued with patriotism, integrity and ethical values.

President said, “I hope, NSU would give more efforts in nurturing strategic thinking skills of students so that they can differentiate the right or wrong in their personal and social activities. Convocation is a solemn and purposeful landmark event of student life as it recognizes performances and hard work of both students and universities. I urge the students graduating today to apply the knowledge they gained for the betterment of the country. I pray for their bright and successful future.”

He wished the 24th Convocation of NSU a grand success.
