Terming the election of West Bengal as country’s internal matter, Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud hoped that democracy will always win in the elections of India.
“This is our expectation that the existing relations between the two countries and neighbouring West Bengal will further be developed and become closure, and the unresolved issues will be solved through an amicable discussion between the governments of the two countries,” he said.
“We want to see that democracy wins and persists always in India,” the minister said replying to a query over the election in West Bengal at his official residence on Sunday.
Replying to another query over a case lodged by Hefazat leader Mamunl Haque’s so called second wife Jharna, Hasan said she (Jharna) filed a rape case against Mamunul on charge of having illicit relation with her.
