Sujan aids families of death in Panchagarh boat capsize

Railways Minister Md. Nurul Islam Sujan has provided assistance to the families of the death in boat capsize in the Karatoya River near Auliya Ghat under Boda upazila in the district.

He handed over cash Taka 5 thousand and sari and lungi among each family of the deaths from his own fund on Wednesday.

The minister visited every victim’s house and also consoled the family members.

A total of 68 bodies were recovered from Karatoya river for last three days after the boat sank.

While providing assistance, the minister expressed his deep shock and prayed for salvation of the departed souls.

He said the loss of the victims’ families is not possible to be fulfilled. But, “After the incident, we have stand by them with economic assistance,” he said.

Sujan also said that already 50 thousand taka have been given to each victim family as every family will get more 50 thousand Taka.

Minister’s son and Central Jubo League Member Barrister Koushik Nahian Nabid, Boda Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Solayman Ali, former Debiganj Upazila Chairman and Upazila Awami League General Secretary Hasnat Zaman Chowdary Jarje accompanied the minister.
