BNP’s history is political vengeance

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said his party does not do politics of vengeance rather the BNP’s political history is of vengeance and intolerance.

“The government is considering Begum Khaleda Zia’s health matter on humanitarian and liberal grounds but the BNP is doing politics over the issue,” he told a regular press briefing at his official residence in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.

Quader said vengeance and intolerance remains in BNP’s “bone marrow” and this is their political history.

He said Bangladesh stands head high under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina following independent and balanced foreign policy.

“Awami League government didn’t bow down to anybody in national interest. Awami League has foreign friends, not lords. The BNP doesn’t have foreign friends but has lords,” he said.
