BNP gets angey on unpleasant truth
Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud said BNP gets angry as the Prime Minister has told unpleasant truth in parliament.
“The premier has told that Ziaur Rahman occupied the power through arms and did politics by forming the party (BNP) along with the leftovers, this means the party was formed illegally. And even, the High Court has also told in its verdict,” he said.
Hasan added: “Most of the senior leaders of BNP including Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain and Rizvi Ahmed did other parties and later joined the BNP to take leftovers of power. For this, they (BNP) feel anger after hearing the unpleasant truth.”
The minister told the reporters after exchanging views with the newly elected members of Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF) at Secretariat in the capital on Monday.
Information and Broadcasting Secretary Md Mokbul Hossain, BSRF president Tapan Biswas, vice president Motahar Hossain and general secretary Masudul Haque, among others, addressed the meeting.
