The death toll in Corona was 27,000

In the last 24 hours, 35 people have died due to the virus in the country. The total death toll in Corona stands at 27,007.

This information has been given in the regular press release sent from the Department of Health on Tuesday. 41 people died in Corona yesterday.

The notification further said that in the last 24 hours, 2,074 people have been newly identified in the country. With this, the total number of identities in the country stood at 15 lakh 34 thousand 440 people.

In the last 24 hours, 31,724 samples were tested. In contrast to the test, the detection rate is 6.54 percent.

And in the last 24 hours, 3,735 people have recovered from Corona. With this, a total of 14 lakh 86 thousand 668 people were healed.

The first case of coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on March 8 last year. On March 18 last year, 10 days after the first patient was identified, the Department of Health confirmed the first death report in the country. The highest death toll that year was 64.

With the spread of the Delta variant, the number of patients has been on the rise since June. On July 26, a maximum of 18,230 corona were identified in one day.

On July 7, for the first time in the country, the death toll in Corona exceeded 200. Of these, 264 died on 5 and 10 August, the highest number of deaths in a single day in an epidemic.

More than 200 people died in a few days. Then on August 13, the death toll began to fall below 200. After a long stay of more than a hundred, the death toll on August 28 dropped below 100.
