CNG stations are closed for 4 hours from Sunday
The government has decided to close CNG filling stations from six to four hours every evening to increase the supply of gas for power generation.
The order will take effect from next Sunday (September 19), according to sources in the Ministry of Power and Energy.
A statement from the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on Wednesday said, Measures have been taken to alleviate the potential stress situation in the gas distribution network during the daily peak hours of electricity demand. In the time if daily Peak Hour of Electricity from September 19- Gas supply to CNG stations will be cut off for 4 hours from 6 pm to 10 pm.
Earlier, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources withdrew after announcing the closure of CNG stations for six hours a day from Wednesday.
At a meeting held on July 8, it was decided to keep the CNG station closed during peak hours (peak hours).
Tawfiq-e-Ilahi Chowdhury, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, was present at the meeting.
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid presided over the function.
