The Prime Minister has arrived in Helsinki

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in the Helsinki on Friday evening on her way to New York to attend 76th session the UN General Assembly (UNGA) .

Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told BSS this evening that a VVIP chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines landed at Helsinki-Bhanta Airport at 3.40 pm local time in Finland with the Prime Minister and her entourage.

He said, Bangladesh’s non-resident ambassador to Finland Nazmul Islam welcomed the Prime Minister at the airport. Among others, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam are accompanying the Prime Minister on the visit.

The Prime Minister left Dhaka this morning for New York via Helsinki to attend the 7th General Assembly of the United Nations.

The Prime Minister left Dhaka this morning for New York via Helsinki to attend the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations. A VVIP chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Helsinki at 9:23 am today with the Prime Minister and her entourage.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AQM Mozammel Haque, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism. Mahbub Ali, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam, Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister Ahmed Kaikaus and senior civilian and military officials bade farewell to the Prime Minister at the airport.

On her way to New York, Sheikh Hasina will stop for two days in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The Prime Minister will leave Helsinki for New York at 4 pm local time on Sunday and is scheduled to arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York at 6 pm local time on the same day.
