The President called upon the youth of the world to learn from the ideals of Bangabandhu

President Md. Abdul Hamid called upon the youth of the world to learn from the deeds and ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and engage in the service of their respective countries and peoples.

In his inaugural address at the Bangabandhu Global Youth Leadership Award (BGYLA) at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium, he said, “I urge the youth of the world to learn from Bangabandhu’s actions and ideals and devote themselves to serving their country and people, just as Bangabandhu did.”

The President virtually attended the function from the gallery hall of Bangabhaban on Thursday afternoon. Concerned secretaries and senior officials also attended the event through the big screen.

Foreign Minister Dr. Ak Abdul Momen, President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) Taha Ayhan and Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md. Akhter Hossain spoke on the occasion. State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell presided. on the occasion.

 Recalling Bangabandhu’s deeds and the celebrations of his birth anniversary and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence, Abdul Hamid said, “I myself am very fortunate to be a close associate of the Father of the Nation and to take part in his work journey.”

Noting that Bangladesh has made great strides in the socio-economic field in recent times, the President said, “The government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is making relentless efforts to realize Bangabandhu’s dream of ‘Golden Bengal’.”
