7-year-old boy dies while going to school as wall collapses in Dhaka
A schoolboy died as a portion of wall collapsed on him in Dhaka’s Azimpur area on Tuesday morning on his way to school with father.
Deceased Jihad, 7, was the son of Nadir Hossain, a betel leaf-seller at Shahid Nagar area of Lalbagh. Jihad was a student of class I.
Zihad’s father Najir Hossain said: “Like every morning, Zihad and I were walking towards his school. As we were crossing the Azimpur government quarters, a boundary wall collapsed on Zihad and left him badly injured.”
Critically injured Jihad was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the on-duty doctors declared him dead around 9:30am.
