None can stop Bangladesh’s indomitable advancement: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed her firm conviction that none can stop the indomitable pace of the country’s advancement as it has become a “role model” of development before the world.

“Bangladesh is an independent country. None can ever stop the indomitable pace of Bangladesh’s advancement. It is much needed to march Bangladesh ahead in such a way,” she said.

She also urged all to work in a united way for transforming Bangladesh into a developed one by 2041 maintaining the country’s current developing nation’s status.

She added: “We don’t want to fight with anyone. But, we will not remain silent if the country’s independence and sovereignty are attacked. We definitely protect it or denounce it.”

Following the foreign policy, she said they are holding talks with Myanmar and international communities to send back the Rohingyas to their homeland in a peaceful manner.

“Bangladesh has created a dignified position in the world due to our foreign policy,” she continued.

The prime minister said that they are building the armed forces with modern equipment in such a way, so that they can protect the country’s independence and sovereignty.

“I want each of the members of the armed forces to be international standard and for that I have done many things that included changing the designations, “she said.

Describing the armed forces as the symbol of independence and sovereignty, the premier said that the armed forces personnel are always ready for making supreme sacrifice in any needs of the nation alongside protecting the country’s independence and sovereignty.

She highly praised the contribution of the armed forces in dealing with the Covid-19 situation despite the fact that the world economy and livelihoods have become standstill due to the pandemic.
