Sinha’s sister is not completely satisfied with the verdict

4:45 p.m. Cox’s Bazar District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Ismail left the judge’s chair and went to his private room. The accused were taken in a police van. The crowded hall was immediately empty. However, the plaintiff in the murder case of Major (retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan and his sister Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous, the plaintiff’s lawyer Mohammad Mostafa and the state’s counsel (PP) Faridul Alam were still sitting in the courtroom.

Asked about the reaction to the verdict, Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous said she was not completely satisfied with the verdict. She said, ‘It was hoped that the maximum punishment would be given to all the accused. But the verdict did not reflect that. Now those who have been sentenced to death can be satisfied only if the verdict is executed. She said she would take further action in consultation with the lawyers after receiving a copy of the verdict.

Plaintiff’s lawyer Mohammad Mostafa said, “We will collect a copy of the verdict. I will take the next step after panalyzing the case. ‘ The state is also not satisfied with the verdict. In this regard, the state’s public prosecutor Faridul Alam said, “After receiving the copy of the verdict, we will appeal against the acquitted and sentenced to life imprisonment.”

Meanwhile, Sinha’s mother Nasima Akhtar went to Cox’s Bazar but did not go to court to hear the verdict. In this context, PP Faridul Alam said, ‘The mother of the deceased is an old man. She is staying at the hotel. She has been sentenced. However, she is not satisfied with the verdict.
