Information Minister seeks politics of communal harmony instead of ‘politics of blaming’

Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today hoped that the politics of communal harmony will be established in the country instead of the politics of blaming and falsifying.

“On this day of holy Eid, I’m praying that Bangladesh and the world be free from COVID-19 epidemic and the world return to its old form overcoming the pandemic and economic crisis. I’m also praying for welfare and prosperity of the country and the people. I’m praying that the trend of development and progress that is going on in the country under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will continue,” he said.

The minister was talking to the reporters after attending an Eid Jamaat (congregation) at his Shukhbilash village in Ranguniya upazila of the district.

Dr.Hasan said the pandemic is going on and the COVID-19 has increased again across the world. Economic crisis has also been created due to the Ukraine war, he added.

The minister hoped that the politics of communal harmony will be established in the country marking the holy Eid-ul-Azha.

“I firmly believe that the new sun will rise after the darkness. We will be able to combat the pandemic with all-out efforts in unison and the progress of the country will continue,” said Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary.

He said the country is marching ahead despite a worldwide crisis under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. And, she (the premier) is working relentlessly to keep the countrymen well, he added.

Later, The Minister exchanged greetings with relatives, party leaders and activists and the people of his village.
